The backbone of the Stallions program is their development House League. Currently, there are over 200 boys and girls in Barrie and Orillia ages 7 through 13 competing in three different age categories. The players are busy preparing for the first games of the season on Friday, May 24 at 7:00 p.m. at Barrie Sports Complex where the 100th Grey Cup champion Toronto Argonauts will be there to help the organization do something special for the Barrie Food Bank.
On Friday, The Stallions teamed up with the Argonauts to support local minor football and help local families by requesting donations to the Barrie Food Bank. The Huronia Stallions are asking all spectators including friends, family and even the players to bring a non-perishable food item to the game for donation. The Toronto Argonauts annually support the Daily Bread Food Bank by asking fans to bring non-perishable food items or cash donations to one home game per season through a CFL-wide program called Purolator Tackle Hunger.
